I have a flat feet and pronate slightly. This shoe was the best I have owned so far, but for the price I expected more than what I got. I weigh around 200lbs and after my review I learned that motion control shoes perform better for people who are below 180 lbs.

I really had problems with my ankles prior to this shoe. Since my purchase I have been 100 percent.

When my husband was in need of new shoes he went to the local podrothist/podiatrist for a proper shoes fitting. After x-raying his feet to find his pressure points and then watching him run on the treadmill, she diagnosed that his feet over-pronated. She recommended the Progrid Stabil CS with a 2E width. About a week later found that his back pain had dissapeared!!!! Up until this time he had never considered Saucony shoes. But they work for him. I guess the key to it was getting properly fitted by a foot specialist. There are so many brands, types and models to choice from. It took a podrothist to put him on the right track with the right shoes and not just going with what ever shoes felt instantaneously comfortable. HE LOVE THESE SHOES!!!!!!

My knees feel much better with all the support this show offers. The traction is great and the soles are very comfortable. The only gripe i have is that if i tie them too tightly, the tongue presses into my foot and causes alot of pain. If you dont need your shoes on tight you’ll be fine!

This shoe is soft and lacks the strong motion control of previous Saucony Grid Stabil models. It is not the same product at all.
I developed knee and ankle pain after prolonged use, I have to put them in the cupboard. The shoes softened up quite a bit after a month of daily 3 mile runs.
It’s a great shame, I hope next year’s model returns to formula.
I am a severe overpronator and wear quite steep-arched orthotics, but the previous model with the large arch-lock feature prevented me from picking up any noticeable knee pain. I cannot say the same of this years’ model.
I find it quite a mystery as Saucony have had an excellent reputation for providing a great product for this sort of thing, and they seem to have dropped the ball on this.
Impact absorption is not a primary concern when you have control issues. I do wonder why they have done this to their product.
